This is the thread where the Pokemon games X and Y can be discussed.

Good idea for a thread!
I personally think that the best part about these games is being able to catch a wide variety of Pokemon throughout the game. Building a team has never been so easy before this game, let me tell you that.

Although this is a good thing, I just see it as GameFreak's lame attempt at covering up the fact that Gen 6 had like 70 Pokemon

Yeah, definitely. I thought that it was lazy of them to only bring in that many Pokemon. Although I do have to admit that it is a really cool batch of Pokes.

I personally find that Chesnaught, Pangoro, and Hawlucha are the best new Pokemon this time around. Fighting types 4 lyfe.

In battle, Aurorus isn't that great. Being Rock/Ice, it has x4 weakness to both Fighting and Steel. I've come up with a Double Battle strategy that involves using Trick-or-Treat on your own Auroros, making it immune to Fighting-type attacks and then holding a Babiri Berry to weaken Steel-type attacks.

Yikes! Although it does have all that crap, it does have unique typing and a really cool move in Freeze-Dry. I've used Tyrantrum and I found Tyrantrum to be extremely satisfying. Aurorus can also learn T-bolt and can really effectively use it when your opponent isn't expecting it. I've used it in a Randbats once of twice.

Yeah, Kalos's Fossilmons are pretty good, but my favourites are the Hoenn Fossilmons! But this is a thread about XY, so let's not talk about that. Going back to my Aurorus set, how about Gourgeist? I love how you can find them in different sizes, like when you hunt for real pumpkins!

I've never used Gourgeist, but someday I plan on it. The sizes are a really cool feature and I don't really understand the whole concept tbh. I think I'll use Trevenant before I ever use Gourgeist tho.

Yeah, Trevenant seems cool, but I like Gourgeist They look like the mops from Fantasia... As for the sizes, the small ones have lower Attack and higher Speed, which make them ideal for support 'mons, while the large and super-sized Gourgeist have higher Attack and lower Speed, which makes them great Bulky Attackers

I'd be all over that super-sized Gourgeist on my Trick Room team. The Ghost/Grass Pokemon are surely some really cool additions.
Except for when they use Will-o-wisp, then I want to cry.

Yeah, but it's like just the thing that Gourgeist does That and Pain Split It's a devastating combo
